Jessie S.
Currently living at home with my parents in Olveston, I am a budding homemaker, keen on maintaining a clean and lively household. I love being surrounded by pets and have a natural bond with our family dog, cat and chickens. I find great joy in animal care, cooking, baking, and crocheting alongside nurturing my learning in BSL. Yet, my real passion lies in working with children, something I have been drawn towards throughout my life. With six years of professional experience under my belt, I am available to start immediately and looking for both Full-Time and Part-Time roles. My hours of operation are flexible and can be adjusted according to your needs around the week. My skill set in childcare is multifaceted. I am eager to take up a variety of tasks including bathing and dressing children, assisting with homework, respecting dietary restrictions, overseeing meal preparations, managing dishwashing and running errands for groceries. I am also willing to walk pets, do light housekeeping, transport the children and maintain their laundry. Possessing experience with children of various age groups, from newborns to nine-year-olds, I am comfortable taking care of up to three children at a time. Importantly, my compassion extends to aiding children with disabilities as well. As a holder of a Bachelor's Degree, I am excited for job opportunities as a Babysitter, Nanny, Nanny/Housekeeper, Nanny/Tutor, Mother's Helper, Special Needs care provider or Home daycare provider. However, please note that I can only take up Live-Out arrangements. Ready to bring in a positive influence and make your home a joyful space, I assure you that your children will be safe, cared for, and gently nurtured under my watch. Excited to embark on this special journey with you and your little ones!
I worked as an after school club assistant for 2 years. This mostly involved caring for, feeding and interacting with roughly 30 Key Stage 1 children (4-7 years). Generally, my job was to keep them safe and happy. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant for 6 months with a SEN child in year 6 on a 1:1 basis. I had a lot of communication with the guardian and spent a lot of time with the child outside of class, tutoring them on basic maths, english and reading skills as well as guiding them through social and emotional difficulties. Most of my work experience have been in nurseries on and off, totalling roughly 3-4 years of experience. I worked with children aged 0-4, mostly we would care for 15-20 babies and toddlers each day. My responsibilities mostly included changing nappies, setting up activities, keeping children safe, playing and teaching, and preparing and serving food to the children, including those with allergies, intolerances and preferences.
I hold a BSc in Psychology, and my studies included educational and developmental research, special educational needs and some disabilities, as well as much more.
