I’m a caring, reliable and down-to-earth person with a background in education and lots of hands-on experience with children of all ages. I studied Education at university, have worked and volunteered in primary schools and nurseries, and have also been a freelance Nanny, Childminder and Tutor in London. I love creating fun, safe and engaging days for children, whether that’s helping with homework, getting creative with activities, or supporting their routines. I live with my husband and our lovely black Labrador, and I’m very family-orientated. In my spare time I enjoy running and doing physical challenges, spending time with friends and family, hosting a book club and being involved in my local community. I also visit elderly neighbours and volunteer with Age UK as a Phone Friend -connecting with people and making them feel supported is something I really value. Parents usually describe me as warm, patient and trustworthy. I’m quick to build rapport with children and always make sure they feel comfortable, listened to and cared for. I have a strong background in childcare, supported by both formal training and hands-on experience. I hold a BA in Education, which gave me a solid understanding of child development, learning needs, and how to create safe, engaging environments for children of different ages. I have worked and volunteered in primary schools (Bishop Loveday CofE and Montessori nurseries in both London and Oxfordshire, supporting young children with learning activities, play-based development, and day-to-day routines. During this time, I gained experience in classroom support, early years activities, and building positive, nurturing relationships with children. Alongside this, I have worked as a freelance Nanny, Childminder, and Tutor in London, providing one-to-one care, homework support, and structured learning sessions for children ranging from 9 months-10 years old. These roles helped me develop strong skills in planning age-appropriate activities, supporting emotional wellbeing, and maintaining consistent routines. I also have extensive informal childcare experience through caring for my younger siblings, nieces, and family friends’ children. This has given me a natural confidence with babies, toddlers, and older children alike, as well as a warm, calm approach to supporting children in everyday settings.
