Ava D.
I’m 24 years old and currently living at home with my parents and one of my sisters. I graduated from uni 2 years ago where I studied English literature. I’m a very active person, who enjoys playing outdoor sports, going to the gym or walking the dogs. When I’m not doing that I’m often doing something creative like writing, painting or making something in the kitchen. During the week I often babysit for my cousins children which is a big highlight of my day as I love spending some quality time with them, as well as being able to help out and make a difference to my cousins busy lifestyle as a working mother. I am also currently working towards my counselling degree alongside my nannying, with classes one day a week.
I have babysat for my cousin's children and my neighbour's children since I was 17 and would manage multiple responsibilities, such as dropping off and picking up from school, cooking meals and bath time. I have always been told what a naturally kind and nurturing person I am around children. For the last year and a half I have been working at Tiger Primary School but have recently left to explore some different options for work. However, my time at Tiger was incredibly character building for me and allowed me to grow my confidence and gain invaluable skills in working with children. I also often worked alongside children with particular needs and learning difficulties, which was a role I felt fit my personality very well, as I'm a very patient and empathetic person. During my time I also completed Paediatric First Aid training, CPR training, safe guarding training and training in supporting the needs of children in early years to incorporate learning within their playing. I also have a recent dbs check completed and active references, should you want to contact anyone I’ve previously worked with or for.
