I come from a large family of six with a dad who is bed bound and three younger siblings who I have had to help my mum take care of multiple times due to my dad’s disability. My main job hobby is bouldering, I absolutely love the challenge of it and how it is objective based. My other primary interest is knitting, which is a lot more relaxed and helps ground me after a long day. I also love jigsaw puzzles, as I used to do these with my mum when I lived at home and they remind me of that.

My name is Ruby and my passion is caring for children and ensuring that they always have a smile on their face. I come from a big family with three younger siblings, and have been an assistant in nurseries and primary schools alike, and so I can say with certainty that I feel like I have found my place in life. I will always have fun with the children in my care, even if that means getting a little messy myself! :) I can cook, clean, and I am very capable of creating ways to keep little ones entertained and care free. The qualities I put before any others when looking after children are empathy, kindness, and good humour. No child is ‘misbehaving’, only misunderstood, and I have yet to raise my voice with one. I believe that there are gentler ways to teach what and what not to do, for example showing them myself. :)
