How much should I pay to hire a nanny or babysitter near me in Glasgow? When hiring a nanny or babysitter in Glasgow, families typically pay around £12 per hour, or approximately £1500 per month for full-time care. This estimate is based on real-time data from active profiles on MumsHelpers.co.uk, ensuring that rates accurately reflect the current local childcare market. We calculate average rates by reviewing local nanny and babysitter listings, considering factors such as caregiver experience, family requirements, and childcare demand in Glasgow. The final rate may vary depending on several key factors: 👶 Number of children: Looking after more than one child usually increases the hourly rate. 🧹 Duties and responsibilities: Tasks such as cooking, light cleaning, homework help, or school drop-offs may affect the cost. 🎓 Experience and qualifications: Sitters or nannies with professional childcare training or years of experience often charge more. 💡 Type of care required: Infant care, overnight stays, or special needs support can also increase rates. By understanding these factors, you can ensure that the amount you pay is fair, competitive, and aligned with the market in Glasgow. Tip: On MumsHelpers, you can browse and compare verified nanny and babysitter profiles in Glasgow — review their experience, hourly rates, and reviews before making your choice.

I am 51 years old. I am a caring, responsible person. I qualified as a nursery nurse in 1989. Since qualifying I have raised my two daughters with my husband. My children have grown up and are independent and self sufficient. I have developed my career by working in nurseries and having roles such as family wellbeing and family support. I am PPP trained and gained accreditation as a sleep counsellor. I am a very patient person and enjoy being in the company of children, helping to guide and develop their little characters. In my role as a nanny I would find it an honour and pleasure to work with your family. I have many interests for example reading, walking, volunteer work and would like to pursue others, At present I am employed as a family wellbeing worker. With the threat of redundancy due to lack of funding I would like to work as a nanny, giving me a flexible approach to working whilst still being able to use my skills learned through working within a children and family setting for many years. During the time my children were growing up I decided to develop my skills and Volunteered for a company called "Homestart" which offered support to families. This provided flexibility to be available for my family. I returned to education to access a pre nursing course at Stow college, of which, I completed one year before commencing employment with East Dunbartonshire Council In the year 2000. I was employed as a family support worker, working with parents and children to offer support. I was employed in this position for 10 years. I gained experience working with families within their home to support and help with family issues, for example, support with behaviour issues, childcare support and daily running of the home. I am Triple P trained and a qualified sleep counsellor. I have many years of experience working with children. At present I am employed to work in partnership within a Glasgow city council nursery to provide support to parents and children who require a helping hand to cope with family life. . My name is ifeoma . I live in Glasgow with my family. I am Nigerian, African. I like children, being in the company of them, reading, baking, playing instruments and outdoor activities. I dislike whistling, buzzing sounds and insects. I also don't like dirty environment(not that i'm judgmental). My mum also has experience in babysitting so although i am young, i have learnt form her work and have experience when it comes to looking after children ages 1+. I follow instructions and make sure things are done correctly. I also like making activities that are fun for children and also willing to tidy up after. I can cook meals like Spaghetti, rice, chips, mac'n'cheese or any healthy meals required for children. If shopping is an activity you do not enjoy, i am willing to do that as well. When it comes to watching kids in their home, i always mind my business and stay focused on the job. I will not leave the children unattended and will make sure they are safe at all times. For the past 3 years, i have assisted my mum in looking after a multiple children, who have all moved on to nursery education. I am getting my childcare qualifications this summer so enable to start work. I have recently achieved a Child protection program with PEEK. Although i don't have a childcare qualifications i still provide aspects of the job except driving. I am under age and so rely on public transport most times. I am able to prepare meals and i am also able to clean. If the child is still in the stage of diapers, i am able to change them. If they are autistic or disabled however, additional training will be required on my part. If the children would like to go outdoors, if the location is of walking distance, i am able to take them. Apart from not being able to drive, the only thing that would hinder me from providing care for your child/ children is transport and your location. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am in 3rd year of High School

I’m 23 I’m from Glasgow in Scotland I’m also a mum to a beautiful baby boy called reighn I was an au pair before I was a mum and obviously that’s not a job I can pursue anymore. I looked after a 15 year old boy with special needs who was non verbal. It was a life changing and eye opening experience for me and enjoyed every minute. From 7am to 7pm mon-Tue-thu-Friday sat and Sunday one weekend and the next I wouldn’t have him as he would be at his dads. Au Pair Torrance June 2019 to February 2021 I au paired for a family with 2 children a 6 year old girl and a 2 and a half year old boy. I was their au pair for nearly 2 years and it was heartbreaking to move on it taught me a lot and made me realise what job I want to do. I’m also now a mother myself to a gorgeous 4 months old little boy and just looking to earn a little extra money
