Megane B.
Meet Megane, a lively, 19-year-old Geology student at the University of Leicester with a knack for keeping a household running smoothly. She is the oldest sister in her family to a 12 year old sister and 2 year old brother and has honed her skills in managing a home from a young age. Be it cooking, cleaning, or just ensuring that things run like clockwork, Megane can effortlessly juggle all these tasks. Megane is patient and warmth personified, with a genuine affinity for children. She has experience teaching dance to children and loves keeping them entertained, active, and joyful. A fan of K-pop and having honed her dancing skills in ballet and tap up to grade 4 with distinctions, Megane can certainly teach your little ones some cool dance moves! Reliable and well-organised, Megane manages to balance her university commitments, representing over 200 students and a part-time hospitality job alongside her studies. She is available throughout the week - mornings, afternoons, and evenings - making her ideal to manage any situation that might arise. Megane is seeking a part-time, live-out nanny role and can commence duties from the 20th May, She is comfortable with caring for up to two children (across any age group) and can handle a number of duties including laundry, cleaning, cooking, running errands, and offering a helping hand with homework. Furthermore, she is able to assist with maintaining a tidy kitchen, adhering to special dietary guidelines, and even supervising other household staff. Whilst Megane hasn't had formal nanny experience or worked with children with disabilities, her household management skills, dance-teaching background, rapport with children, and her ability to juggle responsibilities will make her an invaluable addition to any family. Despite being a geology student, her passion clearly lies in working with children, either as a babysitter or a childminder.
While I have no experience minding children and babies, I have experience supporting children through teaching dance classes, where I helped supervise and engage children in activities within a fun and safe environment. This involved communicating positively with children and parents, encouraging participation, helping maintain organisation during sessions, and ensuring children felt included and supported. Alongside this, my volunteering and customer service experience has strengthened my patience, responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills.
