My names Layla-Lareen, and im an enthusiastic and caring young person from a Libyan family of six. As the eldest daughter, responsibility has pretty much been part of my job description for years. Since I was 8, I've helped care for my younger siblings since they were in nappies. Which honestly? Has given me a lot of patience, empathy, and experience supporting children in everyday life. I genuinely love roles where I can help, support, and encourage others. I'm naturally nurturing, highly empathetic, and always try to make people feel comfortable and included. To see children flourish and express themselves under my support, is seriously the most rewarding thing I thankfully got to witness for myself. My faith and personal values are very important to me and have shaped the way I approach caring for others-with kindness, respect, and true compassion. In my spare time, you'll probably find me drawing, listening to music, playing chess, gaming, or working on some sort of creative project that makes me lose track of time. I've recently completed my GCSEs and am expecting strong grades (A's and A stars inshallah!), reflecting how dedicated and hardworking I am in everything I take on. I'm known for being warm, reliable, and determined, although friends and family would probably also tell you that I have a tendency to overthink and triple-check everything (You can never be too sure!). I take pride in doing my best, and I love opportunities where I can make a positive difference while continuing to learn and grow. Also please do note I am 16!!

Outside of school, I completed a work experience placement at Little Petals Day Nursery, where I supported staff and helped care for young children ranging from ages 4 months to 5 years. I have younger siblings of my own, and so i truly enjoyed the experience, as it taught me patience, adaptability, and how to manage in a real world setting. It also served as a prevalent reminder on how it is to approach every role with care, especially when others are relying on you. It was rewarding to see how each action shaped a child in a positive light, an experience that really shaped my viewpoint on what meaningful work really is. I also have taken care of two younger siblings growing up, and have background skills when it comes to keeping environments clean, tidy and safe!
