I am a mature an organised person, I am experienced and calm, but with a good sense of humour. Currently I am diversifying from my most recent job roles and am looking for some additional hours of work. My employment history and experience is varied including, one to one child care in the home, developing an early years provision in a school, setting up and running two full day care nurseries. I also believe that the duration of my employment within all roles, evidences my commitment and passion to achieve the best possible outcome. My friends would say that I am supportive, committed to making things the best they can be, but funny and kind. I am looking for some temporary work until December. My most recently, I have worked as a Children’s Centre Manager for Bracknell Forest Council. My responsibilities included the setting up and establishment of a virtual Children’s Center to provide supportive services to meet the identified needs of the community. This ‘Family Focus’ role entailed working across and with, a diverse selection of professionals. To enable the Centre to work, good, strong effective relationships needed to be developed, with not only the professionals working on site, but with those delivering services, training, or supporting families from other professions. Within this role flexibility was essential, the diversity and needs of the families were a priority. Previously, I had worked within the ‘Full Day Care’ environment, setting up and developing both provisions. The most recent was for the Local Authority, whose remit was to provide child care provision which was accessible and affordable to vulnerable families. The provision was developed within the Town Centre for parents who worked locally. We also enabled young parents to access funding, so they could return to education. Children who were on a Child Protection or Child In Need Plan, could attend to gain positive learning experiences. Help was also provided to parents to apply for Working Families Tax Credits or Early Years Funding. The ‘Full Day’ Care prior to this was of significant contrast, this was provision was a large house set in a village on the outskirts of Bracknell. I had the opportunity to develop the setting and expand to capacity. A key part of running such a large setting (146 children and 40 staff) is the Leadership, staff training and development.
