I am a student from the South Coast of England. I am one of three with two brothers (triplets!), so I understand the dyanmics of a sibling relationship, and how special it can be.
I have always been passionate about education, both my own and other peoples. I am currently studying BA English Literature and Drama at the University of Manchester, and before that completed my A Levels and GCSEs. Although studying and academics is not the only thing that defines a child, I enjoy supporting children in their learning, and boosting their confidence in their abilites.
Outside of academics, I love sports and activites. At the moment I reguarly go to the gym, and also play on a netball team. In the past, I have also played hockey, football and rounders, and also used to dance. I would love to play tennis one day! Going for a simple walk is also one of my favourite things to do, especially in the woods or along the beach. I would be happy to play sports with your children, and I am always eager to learn new skills and challenge myself. I am also a fairly creative person, I grew up performing in plays and musicals and love theatre, and I am also an avid reader and film watcher. I have always enjoyed art, however your children are probably better at drawing than me! At university, I am a member of the Filmmaking and Drama societies, as well as the student newspaper and media team, which allows me to work with a range of people, and continue pursuing my interests.
I would be more than happy to engage in any interests your child has, something I enjoyed in my previous position working with children.
English and Maths Tutor for two years. I was responsible tutoring children aged 4-16 in English, Maths, Phonics and Handwriting, balancing a variety and ages, abilities and needs. I balanced up to eight children at once, keeping each child engaged and attentively checking up on each child reguarly, regardless of age or ability. I kept children engaged for sessions lasting up to two hours, both helping them with their work, and developing bonds and personally getting to know each child and their interests, personalities and the style of teaching they each respond to. Through my experience, I worked with many children with SEND, and learned strategies to best support them, and all the other children. I have trained reguarly in Safeguarding, and the Health and Wellbeing of children since 2022, and have training in Food Allegens and Food Safety. I also hold a Paedriatric First Aid certificate.
I am a current undergraduate student in English and Drama, and have 10 GCSEs, and 3 A Levels at AAB. I also have a Level 2 Sports leaders qualification, which could be useful in activities with children
