Courtney E.
I'm Courtney! A 26 year old born and raised in West London, I’ve had a love for cooking for as long as I can remember - pretending to be a “chef” before I could even read. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to roles that involve caring for others and creating positive, nurturing environments. I began working in hospitality at 15 and have stayed closely connected to the world of service ever since, especially through food and drink. I managed a coffee shop for three years, following three years as a barista and light chef at an independent cafe. Alongside these roles, I’ve also supported families through nannying, batch cooking, and hosting the occasional dinner party. In recent years, I transitioned into part time nannying while studying The Science of Cooking through Harvard. I find great joy in supporting children’s development and feel privileged to play a role in their growth, especially as I hope to have my own family one day. My nannying experience often includes cooking meals for kids with selective tastes, and I genuinely enjoy finding creative, nutritious ways to make food exciting and enjoyable for them. While I love working with children, I’m currently looking to focus more deeply on sharing my skills in the kitchen. Nutrition is something I care about deeply, and I strive to promote its importance through balanced, wholesome meals tailored to individual dietary needs. I'm confident cooking for a wide range of diets, including vegetarian and vegan households, especially as I follow a plant-based lifestyle myself (after being a meat eater for most of my life). Outside of work, fitness plays a big part in my daily routine. From gym training to running and occasionally joining competitions. I’m committed to lifelong learning, especially in the culinary space, and am always looking to expand my knowledge and skills.
I have experience supporting families with home cooked meals, light childcare, and maintaining a clean, organised home environment. I take pride in creating a calm, reliable presence in the household, and understand the importance of balancing practical support with warmth and flexibility. Cooking is my passion! I love preparing wholesome, family friendly meals that are both nutritious and tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. I’m confident managing the full scope of kitchen responsibilities, including grocery shopping, meal planning, batch cooking, and maintaining a hygienic, well organised kitchen space. I also enjoy introducing variety and creativity to weekly menus while keeping meals accessible and comforting. I've been in a Nanny focused role which has also included preparing dinners for tricky tastebuds. I love working with kids and widening my knowledge on child development but i'm on the hunt to primarily express my skills in the kitchen.
In the middle of my Harvard - Science Of Cooking course! I will have secured my qualification by the end of this year.
