I have been a personal assistant for a bedridden lady who was 60 years old for ten years. I provided personal care, shopping, cleaning, paid bills, accompanied her to hospital appointments, gave medication, cooked meals, and did sleepovers if she was unwell. I also looked after another lady for 11 years in her own flat above her shop. She was bedridden for nine years. I gave her all the personal care and support that she needed, and as she lived round the corner from me, she was able to call me whenever she was in difficulty.

I have always worked in care for the elderly since I left school, so care and cleaning have always meant a lot to me. I have a big heart and will always put others before myself. Having a chat and putting a smile on someone’s face is very rewarding for me. I love cleaning and making sure everything is nice and clean, however big the challenge is.
