Hello, I'm Dawn. Originally from Cumbria, I have made Gateshead my home over the past 25 years. I am a dedicated and professional carer with 30 years of experience in the industry. I am a mother to an 18-year-old son who still lives at home with me, his stepfather, and our two dogs. I naturally extend compassionate care to all forms of life. I hold relevant certifications in Health Care Aides (HCA), CPR, Home Support Worker, and Caregiver/Companion roles. I have a proven track record of providing exceptional care to diverse patients, including those diagnosed with Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Paralysis, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Dementia among others. My broad skillset ranges from assisting with daily tasks such as household chores and pet care, to more significant clinical tasks like patient positioning, catheter/colostomy care, and heavy patient lifting & transfer. I have also amassed substantial experience in assisting patients with disabilities, both intellectual and physical, helping them live a full and happy life. On a personal note, my empathy and resilience make caregiving a job I truly love. My commitment to providing emotional support to my patients reflects my belief in a holistic approach to caregiving. It's more than just a job to me. I currently work in the nhs, over 3 days, which can vary each week, therefore I am available fir 2-3 days throughout the week and the occasional weekends from mornings to mid-day.
