Karen J.
I pride myself on my amiable and outgoing nature, which allows me to quickly adapt to the unique needs and requirements of those individuals I provide services for. It's my proficiency in understanding and catering to these aforementioned unique needs of the service users that marks my experience and competence in my field of work. Currently, I am pursuing my NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) at level 4 and 5. My focus is primarily on developing and expanding my skill set, enhancing my understanding of the sector and securing a comprehensive education that can support my practical experience. This journey is providing me several opportunities to explore various aspects of health and social care, which in turn is enriching my profile significantly. The accumulation of a considerable span of ten years in the health care sector has seen me play several roles, each unique in its demands. Working previously as a Care Assistant was where I initially found my footing, learning the ropes and discovering my passion for patient care. The challenges posed by the role enabled me to comprehend the realities of the field, develop a firm foundational knowledge, and grow as a professional in the healthcare sector. As I progressed within the industry, I later took on the role of a Care Supervisor. This role posed a fresh set of challenges that required a higher level of responsibility and leadership, pushing me to further exceed my limits. It allowed me to refine my supervisory skills, learn how to efficiently coordinate a team and ensure the provision of high-quality care at all times. My past roles and my ongoing educational pursuits all make up parts of a rich journey of learning and growing within the health care sector. With every role, I have evolved both professionally and personally, and itās this continual growth that stokes my passion for my career in this sector.
I have 10 years experience in home care. Trained in any different aspects of care. I have a NVQ level 2 and I'm currently completing my level 4 and 5 in health and social care. I'm trained in dementia, Diabetes, Moving and Handling, end of life, diversity and equality, fire awareness, basic First Aid, PEG feed, MCA, administration of medication, food hygiene and many many more. I am always happy to help.
