Taiwo Hassanat B.
I am a Nigerian-trained Registered Nurse-Midwife and a public health specialist, now based in the UK while completing my PhD in Healthcare Research at the University of Leicester. Although I am not licensed to practise as a nurse in the UK, I bring strong clinical experience and a calm, reliable approach to care. I am married with children, and my family life has shaped my patience, empathy, and ability to support people of different ages and needs. I am comfortable providing personal care, oral care, pressure-area management, infection prevention and control, meal preparation, feeding support, and general day-to-day assistance. I also have strong IT skills and adapt quickly to new systems and routines. I enjoy reading, cooking, surfing the internet and spending time with my family, and I take pride in creating a safe, respectful and dignified environment for those I support, irrespective of their ethnic, religious, social or economic status. I am organised, attentive, and naturally warm-hearted, qualities that help me build trust and offer consistent, high-quality care.
I have more than 15 years experiences as a Nigeria registered Nurse Midwife. I am presently doing my PhD in Healthcare Research at the University of Leicester. I have 20 hours to work in a week.
I trained as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in Nigeria with 17 years and later completed a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights at KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I am currently undertaking a PhD in Healthcare Research at the University of Leicester, where my work centres on strengthening maternal and neonatal care systems in low-resource settings
