I am Victoria, a proud caregiver and companion with seven years of experience in home health care. I am based in Hythe and Dibden, and currently seeking a part-time, live-out position where I can bring my key caregiving skills into play.
Over the years, I have honed my expertise in a variety of duties including but not limited to assisting patients with walking and toileting, showering and bathing, dressing and grooming, meal planning and preparation as well as other important housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning the bathroom. I find great satisfaction in running errands and conducting grocery shopping for those under my care, and my handwashing dishes and pet care assistance has always been appreciated. My work experience extends to caring for patients dealing with diabetes, incontinence, visual and hearing impairments, arthritis, fractures, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementia, and cancer. Moreover, caring for children with disabilities has graced me with patience and empathetic understanding.
I enjoy travelling and have family in the Netherlands, whom I visit every summer. I enjoy listening to stories of others and also their travel adventures.
Beyond my practical experience, I have bolstered my caregiving knowledge from my educational background as a home support worker, holding a first aid certificate that equips me to act fast in emergencies.
My availability extends predominantly to the evenings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, however, I'm more than willing to offer my services during the mornings and mid-days of Sundays and Saturdays as well. I am ready to start immediately, bringing with me an impressive mix of experience and education to offer the highest quality of care. Looking forward to being a trusted and loving companion to your loved ones.
I have worked in residential care for young adults with challenging behavior and have also worked as a home carer for many years. I took a break from home care after my dad passed away (I also cared for him before he went into a hospice).
