My name is Hannah and I've been passionate about education for over 10 years. I specialize in tutoring children with special needs and those in the primary school age-group, creating enjoyable yet effective learning experiences to help them reach their full potential. As a dedicated education professional and a Teacher Education graduate, I have developed unique teaching strategies to inspire and motivate students in subjects like Math, English, and Literature. Incorporating my personal and professional experiences, I also work with kids at the early stage of learning, offering sessions to prepare them for school. It is truly rewarding to see their growth--intellectually and socially. As a mother of a 12-year-old son, I understand the importance of not just academic excellence but nurturing emotional intelligence in kids. Alongside academia, I also encourage holistic development in children. I'm flexible in terms of the tutoring location and I can conduct classes at your home, online, or a comfortable agreed-upon location. Balancing family, personal interests, and my career has always been a unique strength of mine. Beyond my profession, I enjoy participating in netball games and savor the relaxation it brings, as well as the opportunity to socialise. This is a way I embrace and model to the children I work with - that learning happens everywhere. I am available to start tutoring from the 6th of January 2025, and my schedule is flexible during weekday evenings. I look forward to helping your child thrive in their academic journey. I started as a Teaching assistant, then quickly progressed to a HLTA and delivered speech and language to children using plans given by a speech and language therapist. I then moved schools as I wanted to gain experience with children with a special educational need. I then worked full time as a teaching assistant in a SEND centre, whilst gaining my degree in Education. Once I had completed my degree I then completed my qualified teaching status and have been teaching for 4 years now. I have a few children that I privately tutor already.
