I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic English teacher with a strong academic background in English Language and Linguistics (with Literature), followed by a PGCE in Secondary English. Over the past two years, I’ve built meaningful relationships with students, helping them grow in confidence and ability. I did volunteer experience at primary and secondary schools for three years as well as helping my sister with her school work through the ages 4-7. In terms of teaching, I am especially skilled with teaching drama as I have experience in this. I also have achieved a B in A Level Drama, as well as a Merit in RSL Drama and a Merit in a Grade 5 Level 2 LAMDA (an additional Drama qualification). I am also good at English, as I have an A Level in English Language, along with a C in both English Literature and Language and I am currently studying Creative Writing at university. I achieved a B in Spanish on the higher paper so I am able to teach Spanish at a simple GCSE level or lower. I can teach Mathematics at a GCSE foundation level - I did achieve a C in the higher paper but as I have forgotten quite a bit of the complex maths it would be unfair for me to say that I can teach it if there is a chance I may not. I grew up in a small village with my parents, grandparents and three brothers. I have been babysitting since I was 16, for my family, neighbours and other families in the local area. I have a passion for music, and thoroughly enjoy teaching this. In 2019, I worked in America at a summer camp, where I further developed my passion for childcare.
