Lauren R.
I am 32, born and bred in Co. Wexford, the sunny south-east of Ireland. I moved to London 10 years ago to undertake my postgraduate studies and embark on a career in professional theatre. Since moving to London, I have worked in various educational settings with students of all ages. I have worked full time in a secondary school and sixth form, as well as in various weekend schools and other settings where I work with children. I love working with kids of all ages and discovering the best ways to ensure they get the most from whatever they are doing. I enjoy cooking, reading, baking, and long walks. I am a very friendly and personable individual who enjoys getting to know new people. My natural instinct is to always go above and beyond. I am kind, caring, and gentle, but also capable of setting boundaries and gaining respect. I look forward to the possibility of working with you!
I am a professional musical director and teacher working mainly in top musical theatre colleges in London. I have worked as a private piano, singing and music theory tutor for many years teaching people of all ages. I was Head of Music at the prestigious ArtsEd Day School & Sixth Form from 2019 - 2023 where I put students through GCSE & A Level music exams. I hold a BMus (Hons) from University College Cork and a PG Dip in Musical Direction from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I have extensive experience in working with students who are neurodivergent. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" teaching method. Every student needs to learn differently and it is my job as the tutor to ensure that happens.
