I think I've mentioned most of this! I'm a single mum and teacher in Surrey, blessed to have a wonderful music room and study areas, with my three youngest children at home. We have family pets and I am most definitely not a textbook-looking or thinking British teacher of old, contrary to some people's impressions of a 'Teacher'. That's not to say I am traditional in all core values and disciplines. My children say I can be strict, but I'd say I am consistent, clear, and fair. All children benefit from the unquestioning security that comes within a clear and consistent framework. This not only allows them to achieve and grow quicker and fuller, but also gives them a platform to be proud of. It provides strengthening building blocks that will complement their preparation and growth, ensuring a better entrance into the adult world.
