I've been around animals my whole life and have always had a real love for them. I grew up with dogs, have lived with cats, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds.
Over the years, I've dedicated a lot of my time to volunteering and working with animal sanctuaries. In Manchester, I spent a year volunteering at a sanctuary caring for chickens, rabbits, goats, and ducks. My role included feeding, cleaning enclosures, helping with general care, and spending time with the animals to support their wellbeing.
I then spent two years volunteering at a large animal sanctuary in Australia, caring for a wide range of rescued animals including cows, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, and ducks. Many of the animals had disabilities or additional needs, including blindness, deafness, mobility impairments, and the use of wheelchairs or other supports. This experience taught me a great deal about patience, observation, and providing thoughtful, individualised care.
Through these roles, I've gained plenty of hands-on experience with preparing food, cleaning and maintaining animal spaces, administering general care, and most importantly providing companionship and affection. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I genuinely enjoy taking the time to build trust and make them feel safe and comfortable.
I would treat your pets with the same care, attention, and kindness that I would give my own.
I have always grown up and had dogs, of varying shapes and sizes (a whippet, a staffies and a great dane). I really love animals so have also volunteered at animal sanctuaries for a couple of years, both here in the UK and in Australia where I used to live - caring for several farm animals, cleaning, accompaniment and feeding.
