I am 21 years old and have been working in childcare since I left school at 18. From a young age, I have always had a passion for working with children, and this passion has only grown stronger throughout my career. I find immense joy in creating a nurturing, fun, and safe environment where children can thrive and feel secure.
I would describe myself as fun, bubbly, and approachable, qualities that naturally draw children to me and help build strong, positive relationships. I believe in the importance of making each child feel valued, supported, and cared for, ensuring they have a foundation of trust and confidence.
I love engaging in activities that promote learning and play, such as going on walks, exploring nature, visiting the park, or organizing creative and stimulating activities that capture their imaginations. I always strive to create opportunities for children to learn and grow while having fun along the way.
My experience has given me the skills to adapt to the individual needs and personalities of each child, ensuring that they feel understood and supported. I take pride in being patient, reliable, and attentive, with a commitment to helping children develop their confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Working with children is more than just a job to me—it is a rewarding experience that I truly love and take great pride in.
I am currently employed by Glasgow City Council, where I have worked for the past two years in a professional childcare role. My primary experience is in the 3–5 age group, where I have developed strong skills in engaging with children, fostering their development, and ensuring their safety and well-being. However, I have also had the opportunity to work with babies and 2–3-year-olds, which has given me a broader understanding of the different developmental stages and needs of children across various age groups.
I am highly adaptable and thrive in new situations and changing environments. I pride myself on my ability to create a positive, nurturing, and fun atmosphere for children while helping them learn, grow, and enjoy their time. I am creative and resourceful in keeping children engaged, whether through play, structured activities, or exploring their individual interests.
My experience has honed my ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment. I also take great care to maintain a calm, patient, and understanding approach to each child, tailoring my interactions to suit their unique personalities and needs.
I am passionate about providing a safe and stimulating environment for children of all ages and would welcome the opportunity to bring my skills and enthusiasm to a childminding role.
