The role requires someone comfortable preparing a range of dishes while maintaining pace, consistency, and quality. Working Environment This is a neurodivergent household with a busy routine. The right person will: - Be calm, respectful, and adaptable - Have a practical understanding of working in a structured environment - Be able to work independently without requiring ongoing direction - Be comfortable working in a way that does not add disruption to the household Who this role would suit: - Someone who regularly cooks at home and is confident preparing multiple meals efficiently - A home cook used to managing time in the kitchen - Someone organised, practical, and comfortable following structure - Someone who enjoys cooking but is equally focused on getting things done within a set timeframe - Someone comfortable working independently without supervision This role is not suited to someone who prefers a slow or highly creative cooking style. Shifts & Trial: 1–3 shifts per week (depending on efficiency and fit), Initial 2-week trial period before moving to a regular arrangement. My name is Amanda, and my husband, toddler and I live in west Hackney. We care about eating well (delicious, healthy and fresh) and sustainably (organic, reducing waste, no meat) but are finding it hard to sustain this with a baby. So we’re looking at ways to do this better. I think what we’d like is someone to come over once a week (preferably Monday mornings) and do a large batch session so that we have tasty and healthy and homemade food during the start of the week. Looking for about 3 dinners with leftovers for lunch, plus other smaller bits and bobs (dressings, snacks, etc.) If that sounds interesting, please let me know.

We are a family of three, two adults and one toddler. We would love to have a private chef come over for a few hours a week (we expect 3 hours would be enough, but let us know) to batch cook home cooked meals. We would buy the ingredients and provide equipment (pans etc). We would expect the chef to prepare food, pack them into boxes for us to have over lunch and dinner for the three of us, and leave the kitchen tidy (we have a dishwasher so minimal need to do dishes by hand). We expect that in 3 hours the chef could prepare enough for 2 weeks’ worth of meals. Our toddler’s meals could be the same as our meals with adaptations (e.g. no chili spice, chopped up in small pieces, goes well with rice). We have no dietary requirements, except for me (mum), no alcohol and not too spicy.

This is a part-time position, requiring less than 20 hours per week, and we would prefer a live-out arrangement for convenience.
