I am seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Senior/Health Care professional to start on the 22nd of November, 2024. This is a full-time position with the expectation of working between 30-40 hours per week. The work schedule is concentrated on weekdays with Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays requiring availability in the mornings and the middle of the day, while Saturdays require availability in the middle of the day and morning. Please note this role involves either live-in or live-out arrangements per your preference.
An essential requirement for this position is a valid driver's license, as it entails using your own automobile for tasks such as grocery shopping, running errands, and escorting to appointments. The chosen candidate will additionally be responsible for conducting a range of domestic duties, including but not limited to assisting with walking, vacuuming, hand washing dishes, planning visits and outings, performing housekeeping, and laundry responsibilities, among others.
More specific healthcare tasks such as administering tube feeding, giving injections, patient positioning, catheter/colostomy care, heavy patient lifting and transfer, Hoyer lift utilisation, and oxygen administration will also fall under the care provider's remit. Competence in offering specialized care for Alzheimer's, dementia, and Parkinson's patients is crucial, along with providing palliative care and assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Given the intricate nature of the role, candidates must be comfortable working or have experience with various health conditions including but not limited to Diabetes, Parkinson's, Dementia, Cancer, Stroke, Quad/Paraplegic Care, Congestive Heart Failure, and Dialysis among others.
