I'm a retired white English ex-businessman living by myself. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis over twenty years ago which can flare up occasionally with varying degrees of pain/discomfort in joints, back, legs etc despite daily medication. My Consultant Rheumatologist suggested that the sevices of a cuddle therapist may be helpful in alleviating/helping with pain management when it occurs also possibly gentle massaging of affected areas. I'm willing to pay £25 - £30 upwards per hour cash in hand plus travel expenses within a certain distance. There is no objection if you prefer someone to accompany you.

I am seeking a kind-hearted individual to take on the role of a companion befriender, providing company and engaging in light cleaning tasks for an elderly relative. This position is part-time with working hours less than 20 per week spread across Monday to Thursday. While the schedule demands the availability during the middle of the day, morning, and evenings of these days, it also offers flexibility. In this position, you will not only be a companion to the elderly but also assist with light cleaning duties. Responsibilities range from spending quality time, participating in activities such as card games, walks, or simply sharing stories, and also helping maintain a clean and comfortable environment in the house. The preferred start date is 21th May 2024. While owning a driver's license is not a prerequisite for this role, it is crucial to note that the nature of the role is a 'live-out'. Consequently, you must be able to commute to and from the residence. Finally, please note that automobile use is not applicable in this position as the errands do not require vehicular transportation. If this role speaks to your ability to provide individualized personal care and companionship, and you have a genuine interest in contributing positively to the life of the elderly, I am looking forward to hearing from you.

We are looking for someone to elderly sit my father every weekday. He will be living with us for 10 weeks from 1st September and then we are having him built a granny Annexe that he will move into in November. We need someone patient who can just be with him, eg watch TV, get him drinks and lunch when he needs it, sit in the garden etc. He is mobile and presently can take himself to the toilet but he has a bad hip and legs so it is painful for him to walk so he needs a bit of assistance but ideally we keep him mobile as much as possible as this aids his general well-being. Since Covid he has not been out and probably we are talking about just staying around the house etc but if the person drives and can take him to just sit in a park sometimes that might be nice for him too. He cannot walk more than 20 meters really now. Ideally my we would like someone to do eg 10am to 4pm, just to give us the chance to do our jobs from home without distraction. Simple things like working the TV can prove difficult he forgets things a lot etc. He likes to talk but equally sometimes just wants to be left alone. . It may be that some days you can just read a book in the corner all day, it really depends on his mood. . Many thanks Emma
