Hi, I'm Charlie! I'm 27 and I've just moved to Liverpool from London. I love art, history, films, reading, painting/ drawing, swimming, and animals! I have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in History, and love learning new things all of the time. I pestered my parents constantly for a pet to no avail, until we managed to get ~goldfish~, whom I loved very much, but there's only so many times you can hug a fishtank! Now that I am living in a house with my partner, I am saving up for a dog! I am LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent, and just a big fan of people being themselves and sharing love for everyone's individualities. I think that animals bring out the best in us - our kindness, our humour, our love, our compassion, and our silliness. I have limited previous experience apart from looking after friends' dogs and cats for periods and helping with training for the former (I'm lucky enough to have had multiple friends with puppies!). I love animals very, very much and would love to gain experience with lots of different pets. I'm currently saving so that I can get a dog of my own, and would love lots of other animals in the future, too!! Because of this, I've done a lot of research into how to properly care for different animals, training techniques, etc. I'm a big proponent of kindness and love, although I understand that training isn't all about giving constant treats, so I have a good understanding of the balance needed with animals. Unfortunately, the only pets I had growing up were fish, so I've got lots of experience caring for aquatic friends, and just a whole lot of love left to give for all of the other animals! I am eager to help in any way I can, and am very understanding of any specific requirements some pets may have, whether due to health or routine. I have lots of love to give, and am looking forward to being able to help!

In my spare time I am a long distance runner, having come first for my age in the 2022 Manchester marathon. This means I am very active and should be able to take dogs on decent walks with no problem. Furthermore having grown up with pets I feel I have a lot of experience with dealing with them especially in public areas. Also have worked in children’s play areas and currently work in security to find my university course so I am very experienced with working with the public. Although I don’t have any paid experience of dog walking, having grown up with dogs cats and rodents I think I have more than enough knowledge to do a great job.

I’m 17 and currently studying a levels in sixth form which include English literature, history and psychology. I have completed my gcses and received very good grades. I used to have a part time job at a cafe which I enjoyed throughly but it was a temporary contract. I was a sports leader throughout secondary school. This included running after school clubs for lower years in my school to focus on mental health and just having fun. It also included taking days out of school to go to primary school events such as sports days and sports competitions such as cricket.I completed my bronze duke of Edinburgh award in year 10 which was very challenging but it helped me develop some amazing skills. I have a dog who I run and walk with regularly and am a big animal lover. I am a sociable, kind person who is also dedicated and determined to do the best in every task I receive. I hope this gives you a good insight into who I am as a person. I do not have any experience pet sitting but I have a dog myself who I walk and run with and I used to have two cats who I also took care of. I also have had hamsters and fish in the past so I have a lot of experience with animals .

I would like to continue my employment experience, so I can be financially independent to pay for driving lessons. I am a very big animal person, and don’t have a preference between cats and dogs.
