My name is Rewat Sonam, and I am a first-year international student studying BSc Economics at the University of Leeds. Originally from Nepal, I have always been a genuine dog lover and have grown up around dogs, which has helped me develop a natural sense of responsibility, patience, and attentiveness when caring for animals. I also have three of my own back home, Kai (Labrador), Nancy ( Cocker spaniel), and Lucy (Japanese spitz), and I have taken care of them ever since they were puppies
Although I am at the beginning of my professional journey, I am highly reliable, organised, and physically active. I understand that dog walking is not just about exercise, but also about safety, consistency, and building trust with both pets and their owners. I am comfortable handling different temperaments and would ensure each dog receives proper attention, safe walks, and a positive experience every time.
As a university student, I am disciplined with my time, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality service. I take responsibilities seriously and always aim to exceed expectations. I would treat every dog under my care as if they were my own.
I have over five years of experience caring for dogs, having grown up with three of my own, Lucy, Kai, and Nancy. I took care of them as if they were my own children, and since they were puppies. This gave me practical experience in training them, knowing their daily routines and how to raise them
I always used to take them on daily walks, feeding them according to their age and activity level, grooming, and disciplining them through positive training. I would say I understand how to assess dietary needs based on breed, size, and energy levels, and I prioritise maintaining a stable routine to support overall health and behaviour.
I am confident handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, including high-energy breeds, and I am comfortable walking multiple dogs when appropriate. Safety and reliability are extremely important to me, and I take responsibility seriously.
I also participated in a non-profit organisation for taking care of homeless street dogs in Nepal every two weeks in Sneha's care
