I am a very sociable person, and I want to spend my life helping others. The fact I have this goal means I am motivated, passionate about the things I do. To help me with my goal, I have acquired multiple skills that help me in everyday life.
One of the skills is confidence. A good example of my confidence my performance in my schools (the Wizard of Oz), preforming in front of a crowd is one of the scariest yet thrilling thing I have done. This experience seriously improved my ability to speak in front of a crowd.
Another skill is how organised I am. I am always on time if not early; I plan out my week and remember valuable information by writing it down on my calendar. My work is always up to standard, on time and if it is not, you will know ahead of time with a valid reason.
The last skill I am writing about is my motivation. I have great ambitions and aspirations in life, (aspiring to go to university), and they keep me motivated throughout school and everyday life. This motivation makes me to want to help people. One of the ways my motivation has made me a good person for this position is that it makes me more ambitious to get what I want in life and work harder to get it than others.
My work experience:
January 2024 - Present
Tutoring - Moor Ln, Bramcote, Nottingham NG9 3GA
In my year 12 of a level, we got offered to tutor year 11 psychology students during one of our free periods. We were picked based on our GCSE grades, free time, and personality. I decided to tutor the year 11s so I made PowerPoints, found resources, came in early to answer and go through work they did not understand from previous sessions and marked papers and homework. I learnt how time-consuming teaching is, and how to manage my time and resources better. Also, this experience helped me better understand the other ways people like to learn think and process and how to adapt to that.
July 2024 - December 2024
Working at the ‘New Manor Fish Bar’ -serving, cleaning, restocking. - ‘New Manor Fish Bar’
I did 2 hours of training before getting my job at the ‘New Manor Fish Bar’ since then I have learnt everything, I need to know about working there. This includes consumer service skills, cleaning procedures for throughout the shift and after, how to serve, how to use a till, how to package food/drinks, how to do deliveries, work hygiene, stocking of equipment and most importantly how to manage food/drinks. While working here, I have had a wonderful time serving new regulars who have been patient while I was learning and meeting my new colleagues.

Working in a nursery - Creative Hands, Child Care Wadsworth Road NG9 8BD
I volunteered at a nursery for Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) silver award.
My goal was to help children and see what jobs I can do when I am older, since I have always wanted to see what it would be like to work with children. Though I learnt a lot more than that, I leant verbal communication skills and how essential they are when communicating with people, how to be organised and on time, How/when to call in sick, tidying/hygiene procedures in the daycare and how to safeguard vulnerable individuals.
However, I have some experience in babysitting my grandparents' dog when they go on holiday. In addition to this, I have four dogs of my own whom I have been with since birth.
